The goal of the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division (CJD) is to improve public safety and support victims of crime by filling system gaps and promoting innovative solutions to common challenges.

Our mission is to support those who make Texas a safer place and those who help victims of crime to recover and feel safe again through programs that. The Governor’s Public Safety Office is composed of the Criminal Justice Division, Homeland Security Grants Division and Child Sex Trafficking Team administer more than $ million in federal and state grant funding to promote strategies that improve public safety, support victims of crime, prevent terrorism, and prepare communities for the threats and hazards that pose the greatest risk to.
